Foster façade

The pioneers of Foster

The pioneers are two women

When the renovation work started in Terfosse, two women, passionate about eco floriculture, were attracted by the project: Magalie Braun and Stéphanie de Bellefroid.

Looking for available land for their start-up companies, Foster’s ecosystem was checking every box on their requirements list.

Magalie Braune and Stéphanie de Bellefroid decided to start the journey at Foster.

They put their herb and flower crops near the pond, sheltered from the wind but close to their clients.

Since 2019, they have been producing edible or decorative herbs and flowers for florists and chefs.

We are delighted to have been able to welcome them and contribute to their development.

There are still some hectares for flowers, herbs, vegetables, and other tasty products.

Capucine à table – Stéphanie de Bellefroid

Taking the time to try it out, to construct a green and flowery universe in line with nature and the environment and in line with gastronomy and love of good food. Every herb and flower, fresh or dried, is cultivated by Stéphanie on the field in Rosières.

Capucine à table is above all a story of passion and the desire to jump on a creative project based on sharing”, explains Stéphanie de Bellefroid.

She works the soil gently, using only manual tools, and does not use any chemical ingredients. From sowing to harvesting, everything is done by hand. Freshness and quality are her priorities.

She grows a large variety of fresh herbs:

  • from well-known varieties such as thyme, sage, savoury, and rosemary,
  • as well as the more original agastache, oxalis, ficoïde, perilla and tagetes.

The fresh products are available online or upon request. You can also buy dried petals and herbs in ready-to-use mixes.

These mixes are perfect to flavour and decorate your salads, desserts, and sweet treats or to make your own infusions or even your own cosmetics.

Les Fleurs de Mag – Magalie Braune

In Magalie Braune’s field, you will find natural and seasonal flowers, ecologically cultivated for the happiness of all and of nature!

“I started to sow ‘Les fleurs de Mag’ because I always dreamt of natural and living flowers that smell good and make you feel good. What they should never have stopped being! I believe in this little seed because I am not the only one to have had this dream. “, declares Magalie Braune.

Each variety is chosen for its beauty, its particularity, its leaves, and its perfume. The plants are sown, cut, divided in the nursery, and then grown in tunnels or in open fields.

Since June 2020, thousands of flowers have enriched our biodiversity before joining local florists keen to play their part in ecological transition.

Magalie praises “slow flowers”. They are flowers cultivated with passion, in our land, respecting nature and the seasons. She is part of the collaboration: belgiumslowflowers.be

Magalie cultivates these slow flowers for florists but also for private individuals. She organises workshops and open days to share her expertise.
